After my long post as to what we've been doing I thought some of you may need a baseball update. So far, so good. Travis has really enjoyed being at Major League Spring training. They really have a lot of freedoms he's not used to in minor league camp. He gets to wear his pant legs down, which I think makes him look that much cuter in a baseball uniform, but his favorite is he's allowed to have facial hair. I prefer him without, but whatever. He's pitched really well in spring training as well. We still don't know where we're going for the season, but I'm trying not to stress out about it. Our two options seem to be Louisville (where we do have an apartment set up) or Cincinnati (which is the big leagues, and I will not complain one bit about going there even though we have nowhere to live, we would figure it out). It's unbelievable to think about how far my husband has come in his career even in the few years we've been together. He's been working his whole life for a moment that could be just around the corner. It's an incredible process and amazing to watch.
*I must say my favorite spring training moment was watching Travis get Ken Griffey Jr. to strikeout. As a person that did not watch baseball or follow it at all until meeting my husband, Ken Griffey Jr. is someone I had even heard of before Travis. It was definitely a surreal moment. I just wish he had gotten to keep the ball.
